FACULTY RESOURCE CENTER

The Research Support Services and Business Office is located in the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Resource Center in Room 202 of Life Sciences East. Research Support Services (RSS) works with Arts and Sciences faculty to submit external funding proposals. External grants and contracts are essential to Oklahoma State University. They account for 23% of the total operating revenue or approximately $130 million dollars.

As a pre-award office, RSS actively searches for funding opportunities to help match money to departmental research interests. RSS staff also assist faculty by reading through proposal guidelines, routing proposals through university channels for approval signatures, formatting proposals to ensure all mandatory elements are included, and physically submitting all outside funding requests. RSS staff work hand-in-hand with the A&S Associate Dean for Research, A&S Grants and Contracts Specialists, University Research Compliance, University Research Services (URS), Grants and Contracts Financial Administration (GFCA), the office of the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer (VPRTT), and other OSU colleges.
